Melissa believes that quality movement is essential for those looking to live to their fullest potential. Whether you are an avid athlete or just a weekend or work day warrior, finding and maintaining great movement can help you feel better. When you feel better, you can work and play at a higher level. Melissa knows that this will look different on everyone, so each session with her is tailored to what is going to fit best on that day. She takes a result driven approach to treatment and enjoys helping clients and patients understand why their body may be having a particular issue. Melissa also loves to provide tangible things that patients and clients can utilize at home to makes the effects of the massage last as long as possible.
When she isn’t in the office, you can find Melissa working out, watching college football (Go Blue!) or something sports related, discovering all the views of California with her husband, Jake and Golden Retriever, Cammie, or treating herself to some donuts or ice cream. Balance is key, right?
It is never too late to take control of your health and wellbeing. I have a passion to help people heal and relax.
I was born and raised in Ireland and moved to the states many years ago. I have been into fitness all my life, playing Gaelic football and other team sports. I have participated in several marathons and triathlons with TNT. I am a certified massage therapist and personal trainer. I have a passion for helping people lead a healthy lifestyle. Whether you want to focus on injury prevention, rehabilitation, and relaxation, I can help you achieve your goals using myofascial release and injury prevention. Depending on your needs, I use Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point and sports medicine
I want to prove that changing your body and your life is not only possible, but it can be fun! I have had a tough road in the past struggling with a back injury and knee pain. I know how frustrating it can be to be told you cannot do something and to go through pain daily. Correctional movement & injury prevention is extremely important, and I like to help my clients become more aware of their own bodies and help them help themselves with proper form and technique.
